ReFramed is our creative employability programme, combining traditional picture framing techniques with sustainable design and upcycling. Over 12-weeks, trainees learn every stage of the framing process, from preparing materials and precision measuring through to mounting artwork, glazing, assembly and quality control.

 

Alongside technical skills, participants develop the workplace behaviours employers value, including reliability, communication, organisation, customer service and attention to detail. Using donated frames, mountboard, fabric and wallpaper offcuts, every project helps reduce waste while creating beautiful handcrafted products that are sold to support the charity.

 

Trainees work in a welcoming workshop environment with individual support tailored to their needs and abilities. The programme is ideal for people interested in creative careers, craft, retail, manufacturing or self-employment, and for anyone looking to build confidence through practical, meaningful work experience.

 

Training is delivered in small groups with personalised support, ensuring everyone can progress at their own pace while gaining real workplace experience.​
