Our training

We support people furthest away from the job market.
We offer workplace experience and training programmes in refurbishing unwanted IT hardware or picture framing to adults not in education, employment or training (NEET) and young people aged 16-25 with an Education Health Care Plan who have been long-term excluded from the workplace. We support people with physical disabilities, learning differences or social, emotional and mental health needs.
When they come to us trainees are carefully supported throughout their placement with us whether that be IT refurbishment or picture framing - whichever course interests them the most. Or they are welcome to try both.
Whichever course they choose, they get hands-on experience and the chance to learn new skills as a way of preparing them for the workplace.
Through their time with us, many trainees report enjoying having somewhere regular to come each week where they are seen, valued and taught new skills. This in turn gives them increased self belief and a greater preparedness and confidence to apply for jobs and enter the world of work.
IT training
Our 12-week work experience programme focuses on the fundamentals of computer hardware and software management.
Working alongside our specialist staff, trainees will learn industry skills in the refurbishment of desktops, laptops, tablets and phones.
The work experience programme is perfect for anyone wanting to gain industry experience and understand more about possible career options or a stepping stone into a career in IT.
Picture framing
ReFramed is our creative employability programme, combining traditional picture framing techniques with sustainable design and upcycling.
Over 12-weeks, trainees learn every stage of the framing process, from preparing materials and precision measuring through to mounting artwork, glazing, assembly and quality control.
Alongside technical skills, participants develop the workplace skills that employers value, including reliability, communication, organisation, customer service and attention to detail.
IT accredited qualification

After 12 weeks of work experience on our IT refurbishment programme, suitable trainees are invited to take part in our British Computer Society (BCS) Tech 10 accredited training course.
Our 12-week course (delivered over 50 hours) aims to teach practical skills required for entry-level IT roles alongside the development of softer skills needed for success in the workplace including modules on AI, time management, writing a CV and interviewing skills.
