Meet some the trainees
My work coach at the Job Centre suggested I join the 2econd Chance training programme because I am into computers and enjoy working with my hands. It is a unique place to come and what I like most is that every week is different. As well as learning new things I am also being reminded me skills I haven’t used in a long time.
I was doing a computing class at Community Focus which had the objective of learning a new skill and taking it into the community. Phil, the teacher thought 2econd Chance would be the right next step for me as it is a relaxed environment where you are supported to learn new things.
I enjoy working with computers and am fully IT literate so my support worker at Kisharon suggested the training programme at 2econd Chance. It is a vibrant atmosphere where everybody learns from each other and is an environment I have never experienced before.
Our work experience programme focuses on the fundamentals of computer hardware and software management. Working alongside our specialist staff individuals will learn industry skills in refurbishment of desktops, laptops, tablets and phones. The work experience programme is perfect for anyone wanting to gain industry experience, understand more about possible career options or a steppingstone into a career in IT.
